Hello all,
I have been programming for more than a year now (started off with C# basics, then moved on to C, HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript, and now I am going through the Java track) and I wanted to ask a question about mathematics and programming. Back when I was taking electrical engineering in university, I loved the math courses, particularly calculus. I want to know if there is anything in computer science that utilizes complex mathematical theories. If you want me to clarify anything, please let me know.
Thanks!
P.S. Learning through Treehouse is the best!

Game Design and 3D animation does a bit, but if your really passionate about Complex Mathematics, I would absolutely pursue The Security and Encryption specialty in Computer Science.
Sadly, Treehouse doesn't offer anything that would expand you fully into that scope. Give Google a shot and see what you come up with.
I often wish that Math and I got along better, because I find the concepts in Encryption fascinating.
Good Luck in your venture. :)

Thank you for replying back! Those suggestions are exactly the starting steps I needed. I briefly touched on encryption through EDX's CS50: Introduction to Computer Science course, and I found the concepts really interesting. Game Design and 3D animation also sound pretty cool, so I will be look more into that :).
Thanks again and have a great day!
