I'm not sure why you put "praise text" inside your selector, but it's asking to select the ID called "linkName" and to attach it's value to the variable inputValue

So to select the ID linkName we would do the following:

var inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName');

Then to grab the ID's value, we simply attach the value property to the selector.

var inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName').value;
