Selectors

i have used jquery ui range for styling the <input type='range'>

<div class=".input_color"> <input type="range" id="red_color"><br/> <input type="range" id="green_color"><br/> <input type="range" id="blue_color"><br/> </div>

After getting interpreted the code is changing to <div class=".input_color"> <div class="slider"><div class="progress"></div><a class="slider"></a></div> <input type="text" id="red_color"> <div class="slider"><div class="progress"></div><a class="slider"></a></div> <input type="text" id="green_color"> <div class="slider"><div class="progress"></div><a class="slider"></a></div> <input type="text" id="blue_color"> </div>

Now my problem is , I need to change the background-color of <a> to respective color

eg : i would like to select <a> tag by using id of`<input type="range"/> and apply respective color please suggest me a selector

Thanking you in advance

You almost had it yourself you could use

input [type="range"]

This will select all inputs with the type attr of range.

no space after input though

There seems to be a syntax issue with the way you have added your class to the div. You have ".input_color. It should be written without the "." before input_color.
