Serialize field method not working

The fields are not showing up in the inspector or when i type "[Serializefield]" it doesn't autocorrect

Hi there! I can't answer about the autocorrect, but remember that everything here is case senesitive. The autocorrect sounds like something specifically to do with your IDE, but I have no idea which IDE you are using.

According to your question, you're typing [Serializefield], but that should be [SerializeField]. Note the capital "F".

Note that a few times, it has stopped auto-completing words. I'm not sure why it does this, but I'm using Visual Studio instead of MonoDevelop. You can know when something has gone wrong whenever it is no longer referring to "Assembly-CSharp" and is instead referring to "Miscellaneous Files" at the top of the screen. Reloading the solution, OR restarting Unity and your MonoDevelop/VS should fix the problem.
