Set variable to a tag within a tag

How can I set my variable navigationLinks to the links within the nav tag. I've tried to use getElementsByTagName to get into <nav> and then querySelectorAll to get into a href.

js/app.js
let navigationLinks =
let galleryLinks;
let footerImages;
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit | Designer</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/normalize.css">
    <link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Changa+One|Open+Sans:400italic,700italic,400,700,800' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/responsive.css">

  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html" id="logo">

You can use "querySelectorAll" by itself if you supply a descendant selector. Just like in CSS, if you name one tag (such as nav) and then another (such as a) with a space in between, it will select all the tags of the type on the right that are contained in a tag of the type on the left.
