Hi, bankole dada , you can place the p selector anywhere in this CSS file. Don't use the nav here, as this part of challenge is asking you to select paragraph, that is, p tag.

It needs to be

p {
color: black;
}

When adding new styles they need to be added like the example i posted here what you did was put html within css which won't work
