CSS

Shed some light on CSS grids and frameworks.

I learned to do design and coding with out the use of these.

Are they useless unless I design around them first? I went to code a site I designed without them in mind and the grids don't seem necessary though the blueprint framework of course is convenient.

Going to re-watch the episodes. I guess my question is if I didn't create the design with grids, should I still work them into the code as for container dimensions?

Any other great resources you can recommend?

Thank you.

Hi Kris,

Great question! Basically, if you didn't create a site with the use of a CSS framework or grid, it can be a little bit tricky to adapt them after the fact. However, if they seem to work fine and they don't need heavy maintenance, it might not really be worth the effort.

When you create your next project, you should definitely try using a CSS framework. Try out a few of them to see which ones you like. I recommend you try out Bootstrap, which is a responsive framework.

Thanks for the tips. My next project will be done with a framework for sure.

@James Loved that last link as I was not liking the looks of all the classes and now I know how to correct it. Thanks.
