Slow loading pages

I have a navigation on my HTML site, all the usual stuff, etc. But when I click on another page, it seems my css takes a while to load- it loads my page first without the CSS applied, then it quickly catches up and loads like normal, this time with the CSS.

I know it's hard to explain, but I hope you guys understand!! please help... it looks very unattractive. Hehe :)

There are a lot of different variables that may cause the slow load.

One reason you may want to check out the sizes of your images. Too many large images can slow down a site a lot. http://www.jpegmini.com/ is a great site for decreasing the size of your image files without decreasing the quality.

Additionally a link to the URL and or the code would be great to help you :)

Wow... I just realised I made my picture bigger recently... :o haha thanks :)

One way to combat this issue is to load the critical css inline in the <head>, then the rest in your css file. Here are a couple links on the topic:

On second thought, this might not be what's happening. Could you post a link to your page, or paste in your html here?
