Solved! Frog doesn't move, animation plays, but frog remains in same spot?

yeah i dont get any errors in the code and i have checked in many times but heres the code...

   using UnityEngine;
using System.Collections;

public class PlayerMovement : MonoBehaviour
{

    private Animator playerAnimator;
    private float moveHorizontal;
    private float moveVertical;
    private Vector3 movement;

    // Use this for initialization
    void Start()
    {
        playerAnimator = GetComponent<Animator> ();
    }

    // Update is called once per frame
    void Update()
    {
        moveHorizontal = Input.GetAxisRaw("Horizontal");
        moveVertical = Input.GetAxisRaw("Vertical");
        movement = new Vector3 (moveHorizontal, 0.0f, moveVertical);
    }

    void FixedUpdate()
    {
        if (movement != Vector3.zero)
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed", 3f);
        }

        else
        {
            playerAnimator.SetFloat("Speed", 0f);
        }
    }

}

I should also note that when i start the game the frog slides up a little bit then remains stationary

PROBLEM SOLVED! i believe the player object was "running into" the ground terrain, in other words was not "on top" of it. i changed the Y value to 1.5 and now it works correctly.
