[SOLVED] Please help with sass directory finding error in windows

I have installed ruby, then "gem install sass". When I type in "sass --watch style.scss:style.css", it says " Sass is watching for changes. Press Ctrl-C to stop" then"error No such file or directory @ rb_sysopen - style.scss". I have made sure path to folder is correct in cmd prompt which is C:\users\me\documents\sass and i have style.scss file in that folder which is basicly notepad file with .scss extension. After I command watch, it creates style.css file in same folder but cannot recognize .scss file. Am I doing it wrong when creating .scss file at first place?

I found my own solution. In windows 10, the file extensions are hidden by default so i was creating style.scss.txt file without knowing. To fix it, go to control panel/file explorer options, select view tab, then uncheck hide extensions for known file types then change .txt to .scss.
