Sometimes having problems while coding

Hi! So this may be a very unusual problem. I'm a beginner in programming, and been programming for about 3 months. And I have this problem, If I look at some code I understand everything that is written there and what it does. But when I try to write some code myself, I have a very hard time doing that. Like I can write most of the code, but I'd have a difficulty finishing it and making it work. So I wanted to ask if anyone ever had this problem, and will it pass? Thank You.

I'd be willing to bet that anyone who has ever seriously studied a foreign language has also experienced this. I moved to Sweden after 30 years of living in the US and didn't know a single word of Swedish. It wasn't long before I could sit down and read a newspaper. However, when trying to formulate sentences on my own... that took a lot more practice. And given there's a reason that some universities count a programming language as a foreign language course (in some cases), my guess is that this is the same sort of phenomenon. Learning the words, grammar, and idiosyncrasies of a language are one thing. Putting that into practice requires a bit more practice :)
