I keep reading that if you're going into development you should certainly start a blog so employers/clients can easily see what you've committed to the development community.
Does anyone else have one? Are you thinking of starting one? Do you think it's a good idea?
I just started mine today: http://sage-elliott.tumblr.com/

5,076 PointsI have yet to start one mainly because it requires so much time. A blog is a good idea if your content is good and its recent.
Nothing looks worse than a blog that isn't updated. I am not saying everyday do something but if you choose to do weekly or monthly keep to that schedule.
github is a great way to show your work and that you are active in a community.

30,003 PointsWell I meant for posting on your blog. Like any tweaks to tools or something like that. Maybe you've run into a common issue and found a quick fix for it.

Remember to keep your blog posts short and sweet for the common user because lets face it people dont spend more then 2min reading something unless its a really in depth topic.
