Starting the "Soccer League Project"?

The reason for posting this question is the fact that I am new to Python. I have just completed the Python basics and collections etc... I have a fairly good understanding of the concepts taught after a lot of reading and practice. However when faced with this Soccer League project I'm kind of not sure where or how to start. Should I work on this project on PYcharm or some other recommended console? I did read the instructions... but feel like I need to practice some smaller projects before tackling this one. Does anyone have any recommendations of resources where I can practice at? Im feeling a little lost and really would like to start this project on the right track.

Hi Joshua, Don't worry, at the beginning looks difficult but when you realize how to make one method after you can realize the rest. I am almost new to this also, I started 4 months ago, the techdegree just 3 weeks ago. You can check out on slack some projects, also my Github, if you like. There is this website [https://py.checkio.org/], it's with account but it's fun. To challenge yourself it's perfect. Also, if you have ideas about small projects, try it out. I hope it will be for your use, happy coding. Furthermore if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, on slack, here.

Thank you so much for the information Oszkar. It does look a little tricky. I'm not the type to go looking for the code and copy and paste. I want to fully understand the concept and I may just have to review some of the courses. Thanks Buddy!

Your welcome Joshua. Just looking other projects doesn't means that you copy, instead it's helpful, you can try out some codes, modified with your own knowledge, believe me it's amazing how much you can learn. Review the videos, several times if it's needed, nobody will judge you, I am still doing it if I need to, that's why is there. and practice, that is the most helpful. Keep up the good work.

I really appreciate the inspiration Oszkar! I'll definitely do as you said.

Did you managed to start or finish the project?

Oszkar. I never was able to complete it. I went back to review some core foundational concepts of Python that I was not understanding. With my level of skill and a huge lack of timeI opted out of the Techdegree program. I am still working on the basic program and am learning little projects here and there to build my skills. Thanks for checking back with me.
