You've almost got it. You need to specify the type in your init method and you need to finish your instance by including the numberOfSides property:

class Shape {
  var numberOfSides: Int

  init(numberOfSides: Int) {
    self.numberOfSides = numberOfSides
  }
}

let someShape = Shape(numberOfSides: 4)

Also, the challenge is expecting the class to be named Shape instead of shape.
