stuck at blog reader project, getting json data from http request code challenge 5/5

I can't get past this challenge were you are supposed to set the responseData string variable. What is wrong with this code?

String responseData = "";

try {
    URL treehouseUrl = new URL("http://blog.teamtreehouse.com/api/get_recent_summary/?count=20");
    HttpURLConnection connection = (HttpURLConnection) treehouseUrl.openConnection();
    connection.connect();
    int responseCode = connection.getResponseCode();

if (responseCode == HttpURLConnection.HTTP_OK) {
   InputStream inputStream = connection.getInputStream();
   Reader reader = new InputStreamReader(inputStream);
   char[] charArray = new char[connection.getContentLength()];
   reader.read(charArray);
   String responseData = new String(charArray);
    }
}
catch (MalformedURLException e) {
    Log.e(TAG, "MalformedURLException caught!", e);
}
catch (IOException e) {
    Log.e(TAG, "IOException caught!", e);
}

String responseData = new String(charArray);

Look at the top of your block. responseData is already declared there, you don't need the String part again.
