Sugesstions for the Treehouse website

Hello everyone,

I'm new to the Treehouse community, and I love the atmosphere here so far! Great Tutorial videos and a great opportunity for job applications. Keep up the good work, but I didnt post this thread to say how great Treehouse is. No, I'm here because I got a few suggestions that I think would be great futures for Treehouse.

  • PM other users

  • Looking for job application so company's can hire people through out a list of programers, developers etc.

  • Offline sync to another more program then iTunes since some doesn't uses that program :)

What do you guys think? Does it sound like a good idea? Add up with more ideas if you got any!

Marcus,

First id like to welcome you to the Treehouse community. I like some of your ideas. Having the ability to PM other users is a great idea. Having a personal inbox or publicly have your email available so people can contact you is a great idea.

Second is your addition to job searching tool. I love the fact that many employers post their job openings here on Treehouse. I understand your point with having employers look for us. I believe that it would be a better idea for us students here to post our resumes into a data base specific for our best skills (HTML, CSS, Android, ect). This would allow employers to find great people depending on which skills we are better at (and possibly show which classes we have completed).

Your last point I am unsure of what you mean. If you can please explain.

Thanks,

I think he means have another thing alongside being able to download all of the course videos to iTunes. So probably to android devices.

Understood. I too agree with this. To have the new videos load like a podcast directly to Itunes only is kind of a drag, especially for those of us (like me) that do not use Itunes ^_^
