Suggested Applications to use (For Mac)

Hi, I am new to this, and was wondering what applications I might be able to use to code HTML and CSS that are not 'Workspace'. Preferably free ones. (Does Text Edit do the job fine? or is there something better?) Thanks!

Text Edit gets old fast, just because it doesn't have many great features that other text editors have, like syntax highilighting. I use a free app called TextWrangler, but, honestly, I think that Sublime Text 2 is a better option. If you are familiar with using the command line you could also look at vim or emacs, but if you prefer to work with a graphical interface I'd stick with Sublime.

Thanks will check them all out and see which one I like the most!

If you want absolutely free, I recommend Atom by the folks over at Github. It is super nice! Check it out here: https://atom.io/

Im willing to spend some money later one once I get the hang of things and need to use it more for school work, So any paid application suggestions will be noted for later! Thanks checking it out now!

Good deal. Atom is definitely a production quality tool.

Atom is definitely a production quality tool.

Not convinced. I'd say go with Brackets instead, it's a more mature product.

Interesting. Can you elaborate on why you'd choose Brackets over Atom?
