Summary of course/ Cheat-sheet for course

Hi,

I am going through couple of tracks and courses. My biggest concern is that there are no lecture notes or cheat sheet or a summary document which I can refer to at the end of the course or later on after a few days. I maybe stuck in school mode, but those lecture notes/summary notes really helped to revise and go through some concepts which I can't recall. Its painful to go through videos to recall something. There should a folder at the end of the course where you have access to the all the course materials.

Hi,

Just thought id share how i go through the courses;

  • Go through the project watching the videos at a fairly quick pace just completing the questions and code challenges.
  • Then go through again making any notes while watching the videos
  • Finally attempt a project of your own without watching the video and compare with your notes.

Your could combine 1 & 2 but this ive found this best way to get the most out of treehouse and learn effectively at a fairly rapid pace!

Hope this helps!

PS. also with your notes you can easily refer back to the right video if your really stuck on something!

I do the same as Samuel except i only take notes on certain things i know i won't remember or will be effective rather than making notes on basic things that are integrated into my brain just defiantly try many ways that work best for you were all different at the end of the day

I agree, lots of stuff even some new things are basic so if you have any doubt in completing something then take notes. I think thats why i feel better completing the courses first before running through them again making little notes on things i struggle to remember.

Doing your own projects is definitely the best way to learn though!

I always took my own lecture notes in school, it's one of the best ways to aid remembering specific info over time.
