Swift Recap

I don't understand what I am doing wrong? Can someone help.

structs.swift
struct Tag {
    let name: String
}

struct Post {
  let title: String
  let author: String
  let tag: Tag

  init(title: String, author: String, name: String){
    self.title = title
    self.author = author
    self.tag = Tag(name: name)
  }

  func description() -> String {
    return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag)"
  }
}

let firstPost = Post(title: "IOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", name: "Swift")
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

Hi Sergio,

When you create structs they already have default initialisers built in. Therefore, you can remove the initialisers completely from the struct. Nevertheless, I am not saying you can't put initialisers in structs if you want, but here its not necessary.

struct Tag {
    let name: String
}

struct Post {
    let title: String
    let author: String
    let tag: Tag
    }
}

struct Post has the properties title, tag and author. You can not call the property 'name' from another struct inside it's parameters. Instead, you must call the property 'tag' which can then call the property 'name' from another struct. See below:

let firstPost = Post(title: "IOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

Here is the correct answer:

struct Tag {
    let name: String
}

struct Post {
    let title: String
    let author: String
    let tag: Tag

    func description() -> String {
        return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag)"
    }
}

let firstPost = Post(title: "IOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

Please excuse my answer as in some parts i don't know the full terminology to explain here. I hope you can understand what I'm trying to say though and hope this helps you :)
