Take a look around at the app.js and index.html files. In this task we're going to remove the pleaseEnableParagraph from the body. Do that around line 7.

Hi there! First, the variable for pleaseEnableParagraph is already set up by the challenge. There's no need to declare it again and then try to assign the result of removing a child element. Also, removeChild is always enacted on the parentNode so you have to specify that first. Take a look:

pleaseEnableParagraph.parentNode.removeChild(pleaseEnableParagraph);

Another way which is a bit simpler is : body.removeChild(pleaseEnableParagraph); This will also make task 2 simpler to understand
