Hello,

You have three problems here preventing you from completing the challenge.

1) The gradient needs to be nested wthin the shape element. Currently, you have the shape element as a self closing tag and the gradient needs to be within the shape so we can draw it. To fix this, you need to change the /> at the end of the shape tag to a > and after the gradient tag add a </shape> tag to close the shape.

2) You declare a shape="rectangle" in the shape tag. This needs to be android:shape="rectangle" so that it can use the proper namespace and know how to handle the parameter.

3) For your end color, you are declaring it as "#ffffffff" yet the challenge is asking for "#ffffff".

If you change those, you should be able to pass the challenge. Please let us know if you need further assistance and we can provide more help. Also, please provide updated code so we can help from where you currently are at.
