CSS Sass Basics (retired) Getting Started with Sass Installing and Using Sass

TeamTreeHouse,What happened? You have created such a strong level of expectations why are you "half assing" this install

TeamTreeHouse,What happened? You have created such a strong level of expectations why are you "half assing" this install

-- I am definitely having some issues with the install.

SASS installation has nothing to do with treehouse.

I'm with Jonathan. The install has been a headache. But after I finally got that to work, couldn't get the --watch to watch anything. Total hassle and disappointment. As an aside to anyone who works at Treehouse, in my experience with lots of stuff, getting the install correct and up and running is about 50% of the whole project. If you gloss over it, you end up with a lot of very frustrated students.

Hey,

If you are on a Mac, try "sudo gem install sass" instead of "gem install sass".

I am trying to install for windows, I reckon I need to install Rubby for windows first. Now I am getting confused, Rubby 2.1.5 is the most up to date, then why is the comments suggesting to install 1.9.3 instead. And if 2.1.5 is not stable yet for windows, then why is it even available for download as a alpha and not beta file. It is so frustrating?
