Text color!

i dont know how to target the text color in this problem. I tried p{} .p{} .title{}

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */
@media (max-width:1020px) {
  .main-header{
    background-color: tomato;
  }
  p {
    color : white;
  }
}
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lake Tahoe</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="page.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
    <meta name = "viewport" content = "width = device-width">
  </head>
  <body>
    <header id="top" class="main-header">
      <span class="title">Journey Through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
      <h1 class="main-heading">Lake Tahoe, California</h1>
    </header>

        <div class="primary-content">
            <p class="intro">
                Lake Tahoe is one of the most breathtaking attractions located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
            </p>
            <a class="callout" href="#more">Find out more</a>
        </div><!-- End .primary-content -->
  </body>
</html>

If you are trying to target the p element in:

<p class="intro">

Then type in the following in CSS:

.intro{
color: white;
}

also make sure you fix the media query if the challenge asks you to type up your own media query, like this:

@media screen and (max-width: 1020px) {
  .main-header{
    background-color: tomato;
  }
  .intro {
    color : white;
  }
}

I hope this helps.

Both of the styles in task 1 are meant to be applied to the same element (.main-header), you don't need a separate rule for the color property.

Hi Todd,

I have just looked at this, what it is asking you to is set the main heading background colour to tomato and its text colour to white. I can see how you have got confused but it isn't asking you to change all the text to white. See below:

@media (max-width: 1020px) {
  .main-header {
    background-color: tomato;
    color: white;
  }
}

:) Hope that helps
