i was using sublime 2 for a while,and then it stopped working. the auto-complete stopped, and the menu keeps getting hidden. is there a way to fix these issues? or can you recommend a different text editor like sublime.

12,671 PointsI would recommend Notepad++. After you install the program you need to go to
Settings->Preferences->Backup/Auto-Completion
to turn the auto-complete features on.

39,199 PointsIt should be noted that Sublime Text is great software and software doesn't have moving parts, it doesn't just stop working you have to do something that caused that change. We are going to need a lot more details to help you figure out what that something was.

4,461 Pointswell, does it make sense that the temporary license was finished?
James Barnett
39,199 PointsExcept that Sublime Text doesn't have a time-limited trial license.

19,390 PointsYou could delete the folder called "Settings" located in ~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 2
That should probably get you started off fresh.
More dramatically, delete the Sublime Text 2 application from the Applications folder AND the entire Sublime Text 2 folder from ~/Library/Application Support
