The Android Log

I am just wondering what the purpose is of the Android log? As well, how it ties in the with what Logcat is used for.

Thank you.

As the video explains, it is mostly used for testing and debugging purposes. It's an easy way to record variables and see when and how something goes wrong. You could probably use the debugger instead but logs are quicker.
