The currently playing song is shifting to the center instead of turning pink… What have I done?

The "play" and "next" buttons are hooked into the playlist, but instead of highlighting them with the appropriate color it changes the justification by shifting them to the center when they're playing. What did I do?

The current output is

it needs to be

<li class="current">
