The "dump" method was not called.

I've tried a couple of things with this code and I'm still not seeing what im doing wrong. Any suggestions?

class Name
  attr_accessor :first, :last

  def initialize(first, last)
    @first = first
    @last = last
  end
end
def Marshal.dump
[@first, @last]
end 
name = Name.new("First", "Last")

Hiya Blake! You dont have to additionally define a method named "dump" or "Marshal". "Marshal" is a built-in Ruby module, and this module has a method named "dump" and it takes an arguement called "obj", where obj is an object. And objects are intantiated on classes. Here is how your code should look like:

class Name
  attr_accessor :first, :last

  def initialize(first, last)
    @first = first
    @last = last
  end
end

name = Name.new("First", "Last")
Marshal.dump(name)
