The escape character, "\n" line break does not create a new line. It disappears but does not create a new line.

I tried two different methods but neither line break is working. Thanks so much for the help!

echo "$fullName was the original creator of PHP. \n"; echo "$fullName was the original creator of PHP." . "\n";

index.php
<?php

//Place your code below this comment
$firstName = "Rasmus";
$lastName = "Lerdorf";
$fullName = "$firstName $lastName";

echo "$fullName was the original creator of PHP." . "\n";
echo "$fullName was the original creator of PHP.\n";
?>

If you delete your first echo statement you will pass. The second echo statement is what the challenge is looking for.

Thanks, Kris! I passed. The second echo appears to be the most simplistic solution but I'm still learning. I appreciate the feedback.
