27,412 Points"The Great CMS Debate" goes on in my head 24/7. How about you?
Wordpress is the most popular of CMS choices, but there are many other choices out there. It seems to be cool, but you will get lots of flak from some developers that will tell you not to go with it since it's been said to be way too 'overrated'. Also, it's meant to be the solution for a blog, pretty much, and nothing else.
Joomla seems to be way less established than it should be, but both Wordpress and Joomla share a large and fairly useless library of free plugins that will never be fixed after an update hits them with the proverbial wrecking ball. Although it's considered by some as a logical middle-ground between Wordpress and Drupal, it seems to be more complex and bloated than it should be.
MODX is newer, and seems to focus more on the "blank slate" of CMS options, but now there are two versions of it. One that's more supported than the next. It may be a favorite amongst most hands-on developers that I've spoken to, but it's hardly used or publicized as much as you'd expect it to be.
And then, there are "static" sites. Oh static... how I love thee. Want your article to go up with those images? There's something wonderfully new called an e-mail. Try it! You may even be able to attach more than one image to it! I dare you.
So, the main question is... why Wordpress?
What is it that you think any CMS has as an advantage over the other, and based on personal experience, which do you like the most for; 1) Blogs, 2) Communities, 3) E-commerce, 4) Template creation, as well as 5) adding custom functionality?

31,009 Pointscode igniter and laravel are the new big boys. I'm planning to go framework.
Wordpress is pretty easy to use and has lots of plugins. But for businesses use magento. There are so many different projects.
