Thinking a little ahead after Team Treehouse

Hello everyone!

I saw this job listing in Kansas City. It's for an HTML5 development position. My question is, I see the functionality concepts and feel a little overwhelmed. I love the web. I'm working on the courses on team tree house and reading the code on website I like, but how am I supposed to know all of those concepts before getting I switch to a career in web development?

Thanks,

Dustin

Practice, patience, and time.

Perhaps a good direction to drive, is to pick a core of languages or one family of languages you'd like to learn very well, and just be the best at it. Build a couple applications in your chosen language and host them on a personal website, or put them up on one of the many Mobile App Stores. It will take time, but eventually you will know when you have what it takes to apply and get that job you are looking for. Treehouse is definitely the place to start, so you are on the right track already. This is where I got my start, and now I am well employed in the industry.

Best of luck!

Patrick,

Thank you! I've been writing ideas for apps and website I want to make just for practice and fun.

I just realized who you are! I've read your story! It's very inspiring!
