This Account Has Been Suspended

I bought my host from Web Hosting for Students one month ago, I haven't touch it for a month after I uploaded some of my practices to it. But today I found my account has been suspended. Does anyone know what happened?

Have you contacted their support team?

My account was also suspended today - got it fixed already, but the issue was that somehow, hackers had gained access to it and had setup some sort of Google Documents fake login page. I don't personally think I am at fault - I think the issue is something higher up, related to shared hosting. But I don't know.

I suspect that this happened to a considerable number of people simultaneously.

You need to log in, not to cpanel, but to the host page, where you can put in a ticket.

I had the same thing happen to me. My site was up for 2 days then it was mysteriously suspended. I opened a ticket, and they said that they would temporary unsuspend my account -- so I could download my backups. But, I have not been able to access my account at all. I suspect my password has been changed.

I am really not pleased with how Web Hosting for Students has handled this so far. Well, at least there is a seven day period to cancel web hosting with a full refund.

A nerve wracking day for many I think, including those providing tech support at our host.

I do not know if the issues described in this article fit the situation, but I wonder.

When my own projects are at the point where they are "looking good" and I have some real stake in them, I plan to move to non-shared hosting.

Thank you, everyone, after I contacted the hosting provider, the problem has been solved. But I think it's time to consider non-shared hosting.
