:point_right: Perhaps these hints will be helpful:

  • echo should be defined after the function (not inside it)
  • echo should be assigned to the result of calling the function.
  • when you call the function, pass it a string parameter (parameters go between the parentheses).

They are asking you to create the variable echo outside of the returnValue function. The wording is a bit confusing, but hopefully that helps - I think you can get it from there.
