This code is not working for some odd reason...

Is something wrong with this....?

newYork.population = 8.406e6;

Your code is ok. It works by me. Try again:

var newYork = {
  population: 100, 
  latitude: '40.7127 N',
  longitude: '74.0059 W'
};

newYork.population = 8.406e6;

Still not working, this is the error ...."There was an error with your code: SyntaxError: Parse error"

I got it thanks, I just had to add the code outside the original set of code.
