7,428 PointsThis course is still part of the web design track but old and being retired. Should I still do it or another one?
This course when I click on the course and not the track seems to be getting retired. It seems to be covering a lot of stuff covered in how to make a website, and stuff I already knew from elsewhere. Should I do another CSS course, stick with this or just skip it?
Is it best to do everything in a track? Or is it easy to skip a course?

23,118 PointsI would do the CSS Basics class, along with the CSS layout and Selectors classes. Most of the stuff covered in the Foundations class is covered in those. the main reason why is that workspaces is active in the new classes, if you don't mind using your own text editor then there is nothing wrong with Foundations, I took it and its great. Lastly the new classes are updated.

Treehouse Moderator 91,253 PointsI started out with the CSS Foundations course. So I would recommend doing if you have the time. Then the Basics and Selectors course. Do them both, but do what toy think it's right. If you prefer do the basics course first.
But I would recommend downloading the Foundations course videos via Itunes. They may be a couple of years old now but the teaching in most if not all of the videos is still relevant IMO. :-)

5,436 PointsIt's a hazzle without the Worksheets... :(
It's kind of annoying treehouse recommends taking other courses, and then the next steps in the track are locked because I have followed the ones that are recommended taking instead... :(

4,030 PointsI chose to "update" my track, only to be essentially set back to retake much of the content I learned in Foundations by its replacements "CSS Basics" and "CSS Selectors". Had there been an option to "test out" or at least be given some kind of credit, that's one thing. But I was seeing much of the same content in the replacement modules.
So, I've requested to be reverted back to the "old" version of the Web Design Track. I can't give you advice opposite what folks above have given, but I don't like repeating the same material or spending precious time/money to do so.
