This keeps telling me invalid syntax but I have no idea what is going?

using_input.py
favorite_color = input("What is your favorite color?  ")
print("The color," favorite_color "is a great color!")

1 Answer

You need a means to combine your variable with the strings. One option is to use commas

favorite_color = input("What is your favorite color?  ")
print("The color", favorite_color, "is a great color!")

another is to use the addition symbol:

favorite_color = input("What is your favorite color?  ")
print("The color " + favorite_color + " is a great color!")

Thank you, of course it was something small yet so important that threw me off.
