Toast task 3

Add a second Toast notification that combines these two lines into one line (make sure you leave the first two lines intact!). For this second Toast, chain the show() method to the makeText() method, and use whatever String message you want.

Toast allDoneToast; Toast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();

this is the error i get

JavaTester.java:76: error: variable allDoneToast might not have been initialized else if (allDoneToast.mConstructorCalled) { ^ 1 error

Hi there,

You'll want to guarantee initialization by making the makeText statement the value of the allDoneToast variable.

Toast allDoneToast = Toast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG);

Hope this helps!

Toast allDoneToast = Toast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG); allDoneToast.show(); is the code it gives the error
Don't forget to call both makeText() and show() for your second Toast notification!

Toast allDoneToast = Toast.makeText(this, "All done!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG); allDoneToast.show(); Toast.makeText(this, "Yay! Our activity was created!", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); this worked
