iOS Swift Collections and Control Flow Dictionaries in Swift Working With Dictionaries

totally lost

can I please get some help

dictionary.swift
// Enter your code below
var iceCream = ["CC":"Chocolate Chip", "AP": "Apple Pie", "PB": "PeanutButter"]
iceCream(iceCream, for RR: Rocky Road)

1 Answer

Hi James,

You want to use the .updateValue method on the iceCream dictionary. Use dot notation for that. Then your value is "Rocky Road" and the key is "RR". Inside the updateValue method's parentheses, pass in the value first, then the key after the forKey: part.

It'll look like this:

iceCream.updateValue("Rocky Road", forKey: "RR")

I hope that helps,

Steve.
