1,935 PointsTreebook - Cloud9?
Hey!
I'm a little confused about the Treebook course. First we learn how to do it throug cloud9, but then suddenly the apperance of the workspace in the video changes, and it looks like it's getting run locally? Woulden't it be smarter to start with using cloud9, and then make the whole project in that. instead of changing between 2 seperat systems?

Courses Plus Student 3,528 Pointswhat is the video where the cloud 9 install was described? I saw it the other day and it was just excellent, it just seems like I cannot find it anymore? Was the video removed (maybe because of the resemblance the name of the site has with the name of that new drug causing the called 'zombie attacks')? I'm probably imagining things, it is just that I have been trying to find the video to no avail.
c9 seems to be the easiest and best option to code for the web. I had been using MS VS for years and I thought that I was never going to be impressed by any other product after that, but c9 did it. It would be great to have more materials that include its use.

39,199 PointsThe course shows how to install Ruby on Rails on 3 different platforms, OS X, Windows & Cloud9.
All Treehouse videos are recorded using OS X and Sublime Text 2, but for any courses where an application is installed, Treehouse also has a video on how to install that application under Windows.
In the case of the Build a Simple Ruby on Rails Application course, Treehouse has expanded the platforms to choose from to include the Cloud , in the form of the Cloud9 platform.

1,935 PointsMy only problem is - that it for some reason won't work on my Windows machine. I'll manage to start the rails server - but I can't access 0.0.0.0:3000 or any other site...And I really liked the way Cloud9 looked! Oh well. I just need to fiddle a bit more with my windows then I guess.

39,199 Points@Adam - There's a teacher note (found below the video) on the Generate a Rails Application video about that issue.
Attention Windows Users
You should access port 3000 with the following address 127.0.0.1:3000 rather than 0.0.0.0:3000.
