Treehouse Tracks

Hello everyone! I am new to treehouse and wanted to know if anyone wouldn't mind giving me some kind advice on where to start. I am really excited about all the tracks treehouse offers and my goal is to successfully finish all the tracks.

My question is... is there a specific place to start so that everything I learn from the beginning will overlap into each course making it a seamless process?

Any advice is appreciated.

Have a great week!

There's no specific place to start. Since all the tracks are self-contained, and aim toward beginner without any prior experience on the subjects, you can just pick any Tracks you interested most and start learning, have fun.

William,

Thank you so much!

Hi Chris,

I can't promise I'll have the best answer since I'm relatively new here as well, but if your new to coding I would suggest the Web Design track. That is the one I'm currently on and you learn the basics of HTML & CSS, which I felt was a necessary starting point. If you already know how to code, then you're way ahead of me! Hopefully that helps!

Katie,

Just by answering my question helps me so much. Thanks Katie!

If you want to work on the front end, web design, then do the web design track. I would probably start there anyway. It teaches you the skills to learn the 3 main aspects of creating a website. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. JavaScript is a programming language and a good one to learn if you have never done programming.
You can also go click on the tracks icon on the left of the forum. Click on the top of any track you want information on (in the colored area at the top) and a brief video will play giving you a brief description of what the track is about.

If you have problems with anything, always check the forum. Watch the short video about "Tips for asking questions". There is always someone who can help, or tell you how to get it.

Have Fun!!

Herb,

Thanks for the info my friend. I truly appreciate it!
