Ruby Build a Simple Ruby on Rails Application Getting Started with Rails Installing Rails (Mac)

Trouble installing Rails (Mac)

Hello everyone, Im having a lot of difficulty installing the rails application in the link the video gave me.... Im on a OS X version 10.9.1 and the website for downloads only goes up to 10.8.1.... when I try to install it yells at me saying its only for those versions. How can I install it on my OS X 10.9.1?

You're correct -- Rails installer does not support Mavericks.

Here is the guide that i used:

Hey,

Mind linking to the video your referring to? Also, what are you trying to download exactly. I've had to install and reinstall rails/ruby stuff a handful of times in the past six months so while I promise I'm no expert, I might be able to help.

If you can, be detailed on what you're trying to do and what you've already done and the actual error you're getting.

Hope I can help!

Hey Patrick! On these content-related posts (you can see the tag for the video next to the Ruby topic tag), you'll find a link to the content item in the sidebar on the right. :)
