24,049 PointsTrouble with macro challenge
I don't see why this is failing. It works in the console email = 'test@example.com' user, domain = email.split('@') user[:1]+''*len(user[1:])+'@'+domain 't**@example.com'
from flask import Flask, render_template
app = Flask(__name__)
@app.route('/')
def index():
class User:
email = None
user = User()
user.email = 'kenneth@teamtreehouse.com'
return render_template('user.html', user=user)
{% macro hide_email(user) %}
{% set user, domain = user.email.split('@') %}
{{ user[:1] + '*' * len(user[1:]) + '@' + domain }}
{% endmacro %}

Courses Plus Student 9,399 PointsThe issue is with using the len() function. I don't believe that Jinja 2 supports that. An easy way to get achieve that part is with a for loop.
{% for char in user[1:] %}*{% endfor %}
Hopefully this helps

24,049 PointsThat did the trick, Thanks.
{% macro hide_email(user) %}
{% set user, domain = user.email.split('@') %}
{{ user[:1] }}{% for char in user[1:] %}*{% endfor %}{{ '@' + domain }}
{% endmacro %}
