Courses Plus Student 3,463 PointsTrouble with the Challenge. Descending Selectors
So here is the problem:
"Next, target the paragraph that is a descendant of the main-content class. Add a font-weight property and set the value to bold".
Here is the html I am working with;
<div class=”main-content”> <h2> Check out all the wildlife</h2> <p> As spawning season approaches, etc… </p>
Here is the CSS I wrote;
main-content p { font-weight: bold; }
****Result**** Bummer! Make sure you're targeting the paragraph nested inside '.main-content'.
I figured p is the descendant to main-content. I have also tried;
main-content h2 p { font-weight: bold; }
Experience has taught me I am either misreading the question or I am miswriting it. Can anyone identify the issue here? Your help is appreciated.

231,268 PointsYou may just have a typo.
A class name in a CSS selector is always preceded by a period, but your descendant selector above has "main-content" instead of ".main-content".
Just add the period and you should have it.
