323 PointsTuple confusion with returning two things
func greeting(person: String) -> String { let language = "English" let greeting = "Hello (person)" let message = "/(greeting), /(language)" return message }
greeting(person:"Sara")
Why wouldn't this work
func greeting(person: String) -> String {
let language = "English"
let greeting = "Hello \(person)"
let message = "/(greeting), /(language)"
return message
}
greeting(person:"Sara")

5,487 PointsWell what is it you're trying to achieve? Also, you used forward slashes instead of backslashes for the constant 'message'.

5,487 PointsThat's the thing. Your code does work, you're just not using a tuple. A tuple is just grouping variables together, so instead of returning just a string, you could return two strings, the greeting and the language.
