Python

Tuples are immutable, but this seems to be a work around. Did I get this wrong?

>>>tuple_a = "abc", "def", "ghi"
>>> for set in tuple_a:
...     if set == "abc":
...             set = 123
...             print(set)
...     else:
...             print(set)
...
123
def
ghi
>>>

Hey there John, if you print tuple_a at the end of your code, you will get your answer :)

print tuple_a # ('abc', 'def', 'ghi')

In your loop, you are setting the value of set to be 123, but it doesn't alter the original tuple.

Thanks, I can see that now.
