iOS Enumerations and Optionals in Swift Introduction to Enumerations Methods on Enumerations

Hi, my question is related with the UIcolor class, I get really confused when it comes to use all this UI this, Kit this or that. For example, UIcolor is a class from the UIKit framework right? If it is a class then it is suppose to have its very own init already right? or the teacher simply use it to illustrate a point on how to use enum to instantiated regardless the fact that the class already has an init?

Thank you.
