Please add them to the annotationProcessor configuration. - butterknife-6.0.0.jar (com.jakewharton:butterknife:6.0.0) Alternatively, set android.defaultConfig.javaCompileOptions.annotationProcessorOptions.includeCompileClasspath = true to continue with previous behavior. 56,413 PointsFor butterknife now you need to have an additional line in build.gradle for 'annotationProcessor' as well as 'compile'. All that really needs to be done is to duplicate the 'compile' line and change compile to annotationProcessor.
