Hi, please could you explain why my code logs as undefined and what I need to do to fix it. Thanks!
var fruit = ['apple', 'orange', 'pear'];
var position = function(fruitKind) {
fruit.indexOf(fruitKind);
};
console.log(position('apple'));

In order to receive a value from your function call, you'll need a return statement. Since you want to return the index of your specified array element, all you need to do is return fruit.indexOf(fruitKind)
Check it out -
var fruit = ['apple', 'orange', 'pear'];
var position = function(fruitKind) {
return fruit.indexOf(fruitKind);
};
console.log(position('apple'));
Hope this helps!
