Java

Understanding Constructor-Hangman Game

in Hangman game Game .java we have-

public class Game { public static final int MAX_MISSES = 7; private String mAnswer; private String mHits; private String mMisses;

public Game(String answer) {
    mAnswer = answer;
    mHits = " ";
    mMisses = " ";
}.......//code continues

why do we initialize mHits="" and mMisses=""; as null would it make any difference if we dont do so?

1 Answer

The object won't be created and the program won't compile if the variables are not initialized.
