unity says that "parameter speed doesn't exists" i do everything like the tutorial says and still my frog doesn't move.

i do everything like the tutorial says and still my frog doesn't move. what i have to do? here is the code: using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using UnityEngine;

public class PlayerMovement : MonoBehaviour { private Animator playerAnimator; private float moveHorizontal; private float moveVertical; private Vector3 movement;

// Use this for initialization
void Start () {
    playerAnimator = GetComponent<Animator> ();
}

// Update is called once per frame
void Update () {
    moveHorizontal = Input.GetAxisRaw ("Horizontal");
    moveVertical = Input.GetAxisRaw ("Vertical");

    movement = new Vector3 (moveHorizontal, 0.0f, moveVertical);
}

void FixedUpdate () {
    if (movement != Vector3.zero) {

        playerAnimator.SetFloat ("speed", 3f);
    } else {

        playerAnimator.SetFloat ("speed", 0f);

    }

Hi Felipe Lo Valvo,

Almost everything perfect there. Except, I think, for a little detail that change the whole result.

The message: 'Parameter "speed" does not exist' is because the parameter "Speed" should be in caps in both cases. Change that one and check. It should work perfectly.

thank you i would try it

it worked! thank you very much

No problem! Great to know that it worked. Now we can keep on learning and coding together.
