8,325 PointsUpside Down Images css?
Hey guys!
I have a question regarding images. I'm trying to code a simple practice website with images I just took from an iPad. When I coded them in the website with src and background url img they all had been upside down! The images seem to open properly oriented on Preview and quick-look so I've been wondering what causes this bizarre behavior. Is there something about the images meta data that can cause this?

14,268 PointsThere is actually some data that causes your image to rotate based on how it was originally taken (EXIF data). It's stored in the images properties and you should be able to remove it fairly easily. After a quick search, here's an article that looks helpful: http://www.howtogeek.com/203592/what-is-exif-data-and-how-to-remove-it/

8,325 PointsThanks Jeff. I was able to get rid of EXIF data (using ImageOptim) and manually rotate them to be properly oriented. Now they appear as they should be on my practice css site. : )
